Nice studio apartment to rent on the French Riviera in Old Nice

Old Nice

. . . Photos of the area . . .

Apartment rentals in Nice FranceHERE'S OUR UP TO DATE PAGE The studio has laminate flooring, a sofa that converts with a simple action into a double bed. There is a table, four chairs, wall to wall cupboards with ample hanging and storage space, a TV and radio cassette. There is a radiator in the room and in the shower room.

There is a duvet, blankets, linen, towels, hair dryer, electric iron and vacuum cleaner.

The kitchen has a sink-unit with mixer taps, a two-ring hob, mini oven, fridge, electric kettle and several cooking utensils. Cutlery, dinner and tea set as well as, most importantly, a corkscrew.

The shower/lavatory is fully tiled and constant hot water is available, but there is no hand-basin.

The studio faces the rear of the building with a window overlooking a small courtyard. There is not much light coming in, which means you will have to have the lights on all the time. The studio is so cosy, quiet and convenient that I am sure you won't find this a problem. I haven't and neither has anybody else who stayed there.

There is a bus from the airport to the main coach station (Gare Routiere), which is opposite Place Saint Francois, about five minutes from the flat.

The Gare Routiere has services to several parts of France as well as Monte Carlo. The return journey is free.

If you are travelling by train, there is a bus stop opposite the entrance to the railway station, which takes you to the Gare Routiere.

The area of Old Nice is mostly pedestrian. There are quite a few shops in Rue Droite and the surrounding streets. These include grocery stores, bakers, greengrocers, wine merchants and several artisan shops.

The vegetable market in Cours Saleya, which is in the same area as the flower market, is open every day except Mondays, when it then is Antique and bric-a-brac day. It is on the way to the sea front which is, as described in my advertisement, five minutes from the flat. In the evening this area transforms into several restaurants.
